NASA moves towards a New Configuration
in aircraft aviation, they planned to design an aircraft with many electric
motors that can drift the craft like a helicopter and later fly forward like a
plane by using its tilt wings. This would change the air travel which is at
present.
NASA Engineers at Langley Research Centre are working with unmanned aerial system which is GL-10 Greased Lightning. It contains 10-foot wings span and they are planned to conduct a free flight test in 2014.

The rotating fans are pointed up and when the
aircraft reaches certain height, then the wings get tilted that makes the
rotating fans to face front which makes the aircraft to fly forward.It's the good configuration and which NASA plans to makes it better.
